We’ve recently had an employee leave who was the site owner of this blog. We need to have it changed to another team member but don’t have access to their account to perform this using the published documents.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hey there, you’ll need to gain access to the account to change ownership. If they were using a company email, perhaps your IT folks can help you regain access that way? I see there’s a domain there, too, just with no plan attached.

Once you have access, transfer it to the account of your choice using these steps:
    https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

And once you’ve got the domain and site under the right account, if you want to hook up the domain properly with a paid plan, let us know. We’ll be glad to help you get that going.
