Thank you for the response, but I may not have explained my problem very well.

I have a static home page, and a page with my 4 blogs which are all highlighted in the boardwalk theme as they should.

My issue is the “site title” up in the upper left corner which I named “my blogs”. This is now linked to my static frontpage but instead I try to re-link it to the other page where I have my blogs…

I dont know but maybe I should just delete everything I did and start all over. Now I spend hours trying to find out about small tweaks like this one and I start to feel crazy.
I think I did a couple of small mistakes under the custimisation and now I have to pay for that.

First of all I started it all by posting my 4 blogs. Later I created the static frontpage and then another blank page that was supposed to consist of my 4 blogs. I think it worked, but I dont know why it worked – all of the sudden all my blogs was automatically put inside this blank page..

I just want a simple frontpage with links to the other page/my blogs

    The theme’s documentation is here – https://wordpress.com/themes/boardwalk/

I had a quick look at Boardwalk theme on my test blog, and it’s immediately setup like the theme’s page shows it.

What I think the problems are are :

    1. You are misunderstanding what the Site Title does on the blog. When you press on the site title it will always return to the front page/home page of the blog.

    2. I think you may have changed the “Static Front Page” from “Your Latest Posts” to “A Static Page”. If you want the theme to look like it’s demo page, then this needs to be set to “Your Latest Posts”. This was explained in the link I sent you.

To correct 2. you need to go back to customizer or follow the guide from the link I sent you earlier.

My advice would be to persevere, theme’s can be a bit fiddly to configure, but you should be able to do everything you want.

Thank you, the theme-documentation will come in handy, I have been looking for it.

-about the Site title: Yes I have misunderstood this. I was just certain that I could set a link to it but couldnt remember where. Guess I was dreaming(:
So the Site title should be “Home” or similar.

Yes I changed it for a few minutes, still struggeling with the Site title lol…but its back now and I forget about the site title url.

I did manage to create the theme-look.

I have really been struggeling today, a lot of frustration in the menus. I am not that familiar with computing.

I will read myself up on the theme-documentation

    Thank you again

Site title, hmm whatever you want, but my site title is “Don Charisma” … which might make it clearer ! … so in your case it would be, probably, “Local Hue Travel”

I put a screen print of what my test blog looks like with default Boardwalk theme setup here for you – http://doncharisma.com/web-designs/wordpress-boardwalk-theme/ … so you can see that theme can be setup like the demo !

Ah, yes, we all have days like that, keep at it you’ll get there :) … and yes menus took me a while to learn, and don’t worry it’s confusing to start off with, but once you’ve figured it out, it’s easy …

Hihi…Yes Don, I am so tired now having spent about 8h trying to tweak the menus..

I did manage to make it look like the theme though, like in your picture there, it was when I created a static page everything went a little bit too tweaky for me.

Maybe this theme shouldnt have a static front page, I dont know..

I leave it for today, start off with a fresh head again tomorrow.

    Thank you Don

… I know the feeling … still things that are worth doing take time :)

I’d say the theme looks best with the blog posts on the front page. I reckon portrait orientation photos would work best, as it crops them tall and narrow.

You can put a menu and link to pages from that, that would be my recommendation.

But, obviously, you do it how you want/like, I don’t know your project, nor is this a web design service !

YOU’RE VERY WELCOME, and good luck …

    Cheers
