Change the admin account

Hi, the previous admin account user has left the company and I’m the new admin now. Now the account has been expired and I’d like to renew it. Can you please help?

Hi there,
You have to contact the person that left the company and ask them to transfer the domain registration over to your account.
If that’s not possible, then you need to follow the steps outlined in our Account Recovery guide:

It looks like one of the administrators removed lm1mdtanz from the site. Would you be willing to log in again as lium39 and add lm1mdtanz as an administrator again, so that they can administer the domain?
From there, user lm1mdtanz can renew, then transfer to one of the more active accounts using these steps:

Hi supemovia, Yes I have tried that using lium39 to invite lm1mdtanz as the admin again. However we don’t have access to the lm1mdtanz email address anymore (the email account has been cancelled when the person left the company) so I’m not sure how to accept the invite now..

Okay, while logged in as lm1mdtanz, can you change the account address to something that is valid? That setting is here:
https://wordpress.com/me/account
Just note you’ll need to use an email address that does not already exist. If your mail provider allows aliases, I’d recommend using one, but you may need to set that up with them.
You can then:
– confirm the address change (from the valid email account)
– Re-invite lm1mdtanz
– Accept the confirmation
– Manage the domain as you’d like.

Thanks supernovia, is there a reason why the new email address didn’t receive the confirmation email? I’ve tried two email addresses but none of them received the confirmation email of changing email address.

I see that we have successfully sent the verification email to the last email address you used. Can you please check the email’s spam folder just in case the message landed there?
