change the administration email

I want to change the administration email..on my free site. I entered the new email address & It says I will receive a confirmation email but it’s been 2 days & I have not received an email. I checked my junk email & it is not there either. Here, I copy & pasted this from my settings:
Administration Email Address This address is used for admin purposes. If you change this we will send you an email at your new address to confirm it. The new address will not become active until confirmed. There is a pending change of the admin email to (email visible only to moderators and staff). -
