Change the blog roll?

  My blog roll appears as a list of months. I would like it to be a list of the actual post items with the titles. Is this possible and how do i do it?

  I think what you are talking about is the archive widget. The blogroll widget is for links to external blogs and websites.

  To get a list of posts, you will want to use the “recent posts” widget. Once you put it into the sidebar, then at design > widgets you can click on the “edit” link on the widget and you can set the number of posts you wish it to show.
