Change the date that it was published

  I didn’t publish my December 2016 blog until January. But I want the date to show up as December on the blog. It says January 2. How can I change it so that it says December 2016.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Open the post in the editor, click on “set date and time” on the left, change it to whatever you require and click the “update” button. Simple as that.

  Let me add something. If you’ve already published it, let it go if possible-it’s not the end of the world if it was published afterwards. Changing the date after you’ve published the post does odd things to search engines and your recent posts widget. Just something to consider.

  @justjennifer Hmm yes, it does move it back not just a couple of days but a year! Didn’t think of that. That reminds me. I must change my calendar (mine still says 2008 but that’s because I like the picture).
