Change the domain name
-
When setting up the account and playing around with the “free” version before purchasing, I created a dummy site “conwayacrescardinalparkneighborhoodassociation.wordpress.com”. I liked the features that wordpress incorporated, so I upgraded to premium. WordPress automatically removed the .wordpress from the name and now I am stuck with http://www.conwayacrescardinalparkneighborhoodassociation.com.
The problem is I have a real domain already registered and paid for at GoDaddy that I just need to point to here…www.conwayacresandcardinalpark.comHow do I change the WordPress domain name to match mine?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @presidentcacp,
You can point your domain name registered to GoDaddy to your WordPress.com website through Domain Mapping.
You will need to update your domain’s name servers to:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMYou can find instructions for GoDaddy from this link below:

Hi there,
I can cancel the conwayacrescardinalparkneighborhoodassociation.com domain and restore the free domain credit in your plan so you can use it to map the domain you already own instead. But because domain cancellations are not easy to reverse I have to get your confirmation first that you’re sure you no longer wish to own that domain.
Once you reply to confirm I can cancel that domain for you.
