  I’d like to change the domain name. I’m signed up for a free account

  Hi there,

  On a free site, it is not possible to remove the “wordpress.com” portion of the domain, but you can rename the ” paintcanvasca” to something else as long as it’s not already taken in our system: https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/paintcanvasca.wordpress.com

  Once you get to that page click here to change the site address.

  

  Please note that if you need your site to have the address paintcanvas.ca you will need our Pro Plan (custom domains are not an option on free sites) and once you upgrade, the domain is provided for free (no extra charge) for the first year.
