Change the first letter of all links to a different font using CSS

Is there a way to change the first letter of all links to a different font using CSS?

Hi shawngsharp,
I went to the site that links to your username, but it’s not a WordPress.com site. Please keep in mind that this is a WordPress.com forum. You can get support for self-hosted WordPress installations at https://wordpress.org/support/ or from your theme developer. That said…give the following solution a try. I’m not sure it works across all browsers, but it might be worth a look.
*:first-letter { font-size: 200%; text-transform: uppercase; color: #8A2BE2; } a { display: block; } -
@shawngsharp, if you happen to be talking about a site hosted here at WordPress.com, please provide a link to that site.

Hello! How do I change the Font for my Header? I have the Port Theme. It is extremely difficult to find a CSS code to change the font. I am at nichellecole.com

Hi @nichelle012,
Please try to make a new thread for a separate issue, that way your post will be prominent and will not get lost! :)
Try this code for changing header font:
#header h1 a, #header h1 a:hover,#header h3 a, #header h3 a:hover { font-family: Arial, ff-market-web-2, Lora, Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; }Your blog previously had:
font-family: <strong>ff-market-web-1</strong>, ff-market-web-2, Lora, Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; You can change the first font in the list, which I already changed to Arial, to reflect the changes.
In case the first one is not supported by the browser, the next one gets used in order.

@shawngsharp, for self-hosted WordPress sites such as yours, I would suggest asking for help from the theme author directly or ask in the volunteer-based WordPress.org Themes and Templates forum.

Give the CSS that @daschultemn gave above a try. That should get you started.

@nichelle012, if you are not familiar with the web inspector in your browser, take a look at our support page on How to Find Your Theme’s CSS where you will find some brief screencasts to get you started with it. I find it an invaluable tool when working with CSS.
