Change the name of my blog

  Hello! I want to change my blog name as casuallifehacker.wordpress.com. But the system says me it’s already taken. I search that name to see this blog. But it seems there isn’t any blog in that name. I’ve already built up my website with this name and it’s important to have the same name for my project, blog. Please can you help me about that?

  Hi there,

  It seems like the site casuallifehacker.wordpress.com is taken. The only way that you can get that domain is if the current owner transfers ownership to you. They would need to follow the steps here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  I noticed, though, that when I visit casuallifehacker.com it forwards to your site hazalavcii.wordpress.com. If you own that domain, you can map it to your existing blog. After you map the domain visitors will only see casuallifehacker.com in the address bar.

  Hello. I have one more question. I want my blog to seem always as casuallifehacker.com. If I do the mapping, when people click on my posts, will they see the links like casuallifehacker.com/about-me? Because via my domain server, I directed my blog to this domain. But the link always seems as casuallifehacker.com. It doesnt change when you click on other sections. It’s like I just masked my wordpress link. Because of that, when I share my posts on social media, I have to share as wordpress. So it is not what I want to do. I hope I can explain what my problem is :)

  Don’t worry, you explained it clearly :)

  Yes, when you map the domain your visitors will see the links as casuallifehacker.com/about-me. You would be able to share the links as such as well. You will need to follow the steps from the link above to properly map the domain. :)
