How do I change the size of the blog post image on every blog post? I want it to be applied directly on my themes template so it will be the same size on every blog post i create.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • There are a few things you can do to adjust the size of your images on your posts:

    Adjust the Featured Image block
The layout of each post on your site is controlled by the “Single Post” template of your theme. You can access it from the Site Editor in Appearance > Editor. Then choose templates and select the “Single Post” template. Look for the Featured Image block and then you can adjust the settings from the right sidebar.

You can adjust settings such as the padding, margins, aspect ratio and scaling of the image to get the look you want. This can help you ensure that every post’s featured image looks similar.

Also if the Featured Image block is nested inside other blocks (such as a Group block), you may need to adjust the margin or padding of the parent blocks to get things looking the way you want. You can use the List view option so that you can see and manage all of the blocks on your page. This can be accessed from the toolbar at the top, look for the icon with the three staggered lines. We also have a guide on using the List view feature here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/use-list-view/

Use images that are the same size
It’s a good idea to try to use images that are the same size. Depending on the settings of the Featured Image block and varying image sizes, things may not look as expected.
