change the top image

  HI All, I know this is super beginnerish but I can’t figure out how to change the image at the top of my theme….. Thought it was “header image” but turns out header is the one displayed in the background. Also for some reason my font appears very fuzzy. Clues?

  Hi there,

  If you go to My Sites -> Site Pages, you can edit the Home page by clicking on the three dots to the far right. You can change the image in the Page Editor.

  The following CSS is displaying the “fuzzy” look:

  .hero-image .hero {
      text-shadow: 0 0 4px rgba(0,0,0,.5);
  }

  If it was inserted in the Customizer in Additional CSS, you can delete the line “text-shadow: 0 0 4px rgba(0,0,0,.5);” to make the text look normal.

  Thanks for your reply but I think you misunderstood my question….I want to change the theme picture (one at the very top that displays on all pages) it’s just grey right now.

  And as for the shadow, there is no “shadow” in the text code in the CSS, so I’m not sure where it’s coming from! hahaha

  Hi there,

  I consulted the documentation for the Goran theme. Pages either display featured images or the custom header.

  Goran displays featured images behind the title on static pages, or in the large main area when using the front page template. If a page has no featured image, the header area displays the custom header, which can be added at Customize → Header Image.

  So you can set your front page image as a Featured Image. Both types of images are placed behind the text.

  Once you have some sort of background in the header, the text shadow will no longer be visible. I believe it is a default style to make the text easier to see whenever there is no background.

  The grey bar at the top is just a transparent layer to make the top navigation area a little darker than the rest of the header.

  Hi @kristiebuildsatinyhouse, I see you have switched to Radcliffe 2. Are you staying with it, or just testing it out and still need help on Goran?
