Change the web address of the blog on renewal

  How do I change the name of my web address on renewal? It’s ruperthamblypt.com Right now but I want it to be ruperthamblyptblog.com when I have to renew in 2 months.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello there, A domain name isn’t adjustable. Once it’s registered, it’s permanent. However, you can register a new domain name whenever you’d like. You don’t even have to wait until your renewal date, if you’d prefer to switch it immediately.

  In order to register a new domain, click Store in your site’s dashboard.

  It may be best for you to register the new domain sooner than later. You can have ruperthamblypt.com map to ruperthamblyptblog.com as your primary domain. This way, your readers will have some time to adjust to the new domain name. They will see ruperthamblyptblog.com in their address bar, even if they attempted to view your site at ruperthamblypt.com/.

  Thanks a lot! All done.
  Now my old blog is set up to automatically renew in July. How do I stop that renewal?

  Terrific! You can click on Store → My Upgrades in your Dashboard. Then, next to your old domain name, click Disable Auto Renew.

  That will do the trick!
