Change the word "home" to "Index" for a static front page

  Hello: That is my question. I am following the excellent advice from Timethief about doing a blog in book form.

  For some reason, I can’t change the word “home” on the home page (within the photograph there) to “Index” but I have been able to add the word “Chapters.”

  Just wondering….

  Use a Custom Menu. Then you can change it to whatever you want.

  I actually tried that. I had no trouble labeling the second page for the menu “Chapters” but have been unable to modify the name of the “home” page to “Index.”

  I am referring to the way the names of the pages show up within the featured image. I’m sure I am missing something—probably something obvious.
