Change theme
-
Hello, I am new to WordPress and I am attempting to set up an online marketplace for freelance entrepreneurs. I chose a theme that had the initial appearance of what I want the site to look like however upon further investigation it is a Blog platform which isn’t what I want. How do I change the theme to something closer to what I want for free?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @petelene2019,
To change your theme please follow these steps:
Click My Site(s).
Scroll down the Menu to the Personalize section.
Click on the Themes button. You’ll find there nearly 290 free themes you can choose from. You can narrow down the theme list to specific features or keywords. You can further narrow down your theme results by feature, layout, columns, subject, and style.
Each theme has a menu next to the name of the theme just below the theme thumbnail. If you click the three dots to expand the menu and then on Try & Customize you will have the opportunity to live preview the theme with your content. In case you’re happy with the theme you can activate it from the same menu by clicking on Activate.
In addition to the free themes you can explore the selection of premium themes with exclusive support directly from the theme authors. Sites on the WordPress.com Personal plan can purchase a specific Premium theme to use. Those with the Premium or higher plan have unlimited access to all of the Premium themes.
Let me know if you have further questions.
