Change theme and host?

    I run a customized version of the Ever After theme registered as swingingreece.com and swingingreece.worpdress.com in Greek.
    I am about to make a transition to a wp theme from themeforest.net.
    Will that change the way my site is hosted (I am not referring to its appearance) and what should I do? Should I download wordpress from wordpress.org? I am not very dns/web host savvy. Could you help me, please? Thank you.
