Change theme font does not work
-
I changed theme “Button 2” font in customize theme setting.
It shows in the preview as I select each font ( Khmer Unicode Font) in that setting.
I saved it but it does not change on the actual site. I already tested in Firefox, Chrome and Edge Browser. All of them are not showing the correct font.Wordpress allowed those Khmer Unicode Fonts to be selected, so I think it should show or render properly on the browser as those fonts are from Google Font.
Please help me.

Hi there,
Can you tell us the URL of the site you need help with? You have three different sites in your account.

Hm, that font definitely works for me there.
First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Hi,
————————-
My setting is:
General Settings =>Language = km ភាសាខ្មែរ .
Customizing => Font => Headings = Battambang ; Base Font = Siemreap
————————-All my browsers, Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge are up-to-date.
As I mentioned before, when I change the font in customize theme setting, it does change in the preview and I can save it.
But that font does not show on the actual site.
On the actual site, it always display the standard Khmer font.
Even though I use English font and type Khmer unicode, it always display this standard Khmer font.In the font selection dropdown list, there are 57 fonts but only 22 of them are khmer font with diffent font styles. The other 35 fonts will always show the standard Khmer font.
These are the 22 Khmer Unicode Fonts available in WordPress: Angkor, Battambang, Bayon, Bokor, Chenla, Content, Dangrek, Fasthand, Freehand, Hanuman, Kantumruy, Kdam Thmorm, Khmer, Koulen, Metal, Moul
Moulpali, Nokora, Preahvihear, Siemreap, Suwannaphum, Taprom.You can view the 2 Khmer unicode fonts I used in Headings and Base Font with the links below.
https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Battambang?subset=khmer
https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Siemreap?subset=khmerSo, my problem now is WordPress always display thestandard Khmer font. I hope you get my point.
I am looking forward for your help.
Thank you. -
Ok, would you please set your site to that font?
We’ll need to see it in action to figure out exactly what’s conflicting with this.
-
Yes, I always keep my font
Headings = Battambang ;
Base Font = Siemreap ;But it always displays the default Khmer Font on the actual site.
You may find the picture with a link below that I captured for you to see the different styles between the Khmer fonts I selected and the default Khmer Font.
Once again, thanks for your help.

Ok, I see what you mean now. :)
Not all of the fonts that are available in the Customizer provide non-latin character sets for all languages. When a font doesn’t include one, it’ll usually default to the browser default (so the standard Khmer font) in this case.
With that said, the fonts you have selected should be fine.
I have asked a developer to take a look at this.
