Change tile image on Cubic theme
-
I have free wordpress.com site. I have chose the cubic theme. I want to change the default image for the tile on the main page for a post without making it a featured image. I don’t want to use the featured image feature because it changes the look of my post to include the picture as the posts header image. I just want to change the image on the tile.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you don’t explicitly upload a featured image on a post, the post displays the first (earliest) image attached (uploaded) to a post on the blog grid.
You can see to which post images are attached by heading to your Media Library and viewing images in List mode:
https://rockymalhotra.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php?mode=list
Look under the “Uploaded to” column to see the name of the post an image is attached to. If you don’t want that image appearing on the blog grid, you can click the “Detach” link. You may need to do this multiple times until only the image you’d like displayed on the post is left.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi ITS – have a look at my reply over in the WordPress.org forums, as it applies to your site as well:

These forums are for WordPress.com sites, but you’re running the WordPress software on your own hosting, so the WordPress.org Cubic forum is the right place to post if you need further help. You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:
