Change title color

  We are using “The Gateway Theme” and we want to change the color of the title and subtitle to black because we have a whitish photo we are using. We also want the title and subtitle to be left justified.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi.

  To change your title color, you can use “.site-title a” selector, as it is a link and “.site-description” for the subtitle. So, you can use rgb notation (http://www.rapidtables.com/web/color/RGB_Color.htm) to make them red, for instance:

  .site-title a,
  .site-description {
  color: rgb(255,0,0)
  }

  Then, you can justify them to the left with this code, adapting the margin to your needs:

  .site-title a,
  .site-description {
    float: left;
    margin-left: 20%;
  }

  They do not give write their styles.
  When I start writing <style></style> they disappear.

  If I understand you, you want to know where to put these css codes. You need the custom css feature:

Custom CSS allows you to change fonts, colors, borders, backgrounds, and even the layout of your blog.

  We are new to CSS and are hesitant to do any coding. We are confident in your ability to direct us correctly we just are not quite as confident in our ability. So we are going to hold off for a while.
