Change title font in Cocoa

    Hi,

    I would like my site header font to be Raleway, but I want to keep my post headings Brandon Grotesque. Is there any way to do that?

    If not, is it possible for me to adjust the font weight of my header (currently Brandon Grotesque) *without* changing the font weight of my post headings?

    You can change the blog title’s weight with the code below (this example makes it bold):

    #site-title h1 {font-weight:800;}

    I’m not sure about changing the font, it looks like the upgrade only lets you pick a font for the body and a font for the headings (which you have already done) so you only get two choices, not three, sorry!

    Thanks for your help– though it looks like I can only get it to 400, which is the “Regular” font size.

    Is there any way to make it thinner (when I type in 200, the font changes in the CSS editing area, but when I save the changes and refresh the page, the font is still “Regular” / 400)?

    It looks like you currently have the custom fonts FF Basic Gothic loaded at the weights 300 and 700 for both regular and italic styles. You also have Raleway loaded at weight 100, style regular. And I’ve just noticed that Libre Baskerville is there at 400 and 700 in both italic and regular too.

    Those are the extra choices you have at the moment, it appears you get fewer options with the font you choose for your title. If you change it back to Brandon Gtoresque I can check which weights and styles become available but I have a feeling you just get the one choice.

    Raleway is a good font. In fact I used it myself. It’s freely available on Google fonts. Alas it is only available in WP in the headers. You have to choose a different font for the body of your content. So… is it also part of that famous “security risk” for WP users with the CSS upgrade to not be able to choose from a consistent family of fonts for both headers/titles and page/post content? All snarkiness intended. ;-)
