Change to full width of the screen
-
The width of the text is very narrow on the page, and I want to change it to full width, but can’t figure out how to do that. I’ve googled it and looked through all the settings, but can’t seem to change it to full width. Can you please tell me how to do that? Do I need to change the theme? Or is there a setting I can change?
The site I need help with is educationdesignhandbook.wordpress.com.

Hi there,
You can make the image full-width by editing the page, clicking on the image, and then clicking the alignment icon in the block toolbar:
The paragraph block containing your text does not have this option, though. The width of the text content area is determined by your theme, and is based on the ideal range for online text content – the human eye can only comfortably read up to a certain number of characters per line, so any well-designed website or theme would limit the width of the text area. If you make it too wide, it can cause readers to become fatigued, and to lose their place as they move from one line to another, so it’s not recommended to make the text area too wide, and definitely not full-width.
If you still want to do it, that would require custom CSS code to override your theme’s design. Custom CSS code can be used on our Premium Plan and higher.
