change to public from private

  I cannot get my site to be accepted as public, only as private. I have purchased the upgrade, but have no way of knowing what/how to make the change. help please.

  Hi there,

  You can set your blog to public at Settings -> Privacy in your dashboard.
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  No upgrades are required to make your blog public.

  HI, thanks for the note. I read and followed those directions. HOWEVER, when one attempts to go to the blog, it appears as being private and requests a password.
