  I am just starting to work with the Twenty Twenty theme, and can’t figure out how to change the main header at the top of the page. I know this seems like a basic question, but welcome to my world.

  I presume that you’re referring to the large image at the top of the static homepage, just below the page title, as is seen on the homepage of the Twenty Twenty demo. That’s a featured image. It may be removed or replaced as described in the Featured Images support page.
