Change URL Back to original

    We upgraded to the business plan, and at that time our URL was changed to bhmspsa.wpcomstaging.com. Almost immediately we realized we don’t need the business plan, and as a small nonprofit it is more costly than we can afford. I cancelled the subscription within 7 days and have reverted back to the free site.

    Unfortunately the URL didn’t revert back, and now I am having trouble sharing posts and images to our Facebook account. Additionally, members/users are leery of the strange URL since we have published that our website is bhmspsa.wordpress.com.

    I did not stay with the business plan and have not used any plugins on our site. I have been struggling to reach anyone in support to help me correct this.

    How can I get ahold of someone to revert our URL back so that our issues are resolved, and our users trust our site? Original URL is bhmspsa.wordpress.com

    In order to change the URL back, we have to revert the behind-the-scenes changes to your site that happened when the Business plan was activated. Our system will do this automatically, but there is a 7-day grace period built in, to account for folks who change their minds, and because on a site that has used plugins or custom themes extensively, the revert can be quite disruptive.

    I’ve gone ahead and manually started the revert process for your site.

    In case you do decide to upgrade again in the future, please be aware that your original URL bhmspsa.wordpress.com will still redirect to the bhmspsa.wpcomstaging.com URL — so if you’re more comfortable sharing the bhmspsa.wordpress.com URL, you can continue to do so.
