change url of blog making domain name go to my website but keep blog

I have a WordPress blog that I don’t yet use so am not at risk for losing traffic (clearheartcoaching.com).
I have a Google apps website that is fixin’ to go public.
The WP blog has a Google apps domain name, which I own, with e-mail accounts associated.
In Google Apps, under the domain name, is the website with a very long (////) url that I wish to give the name “clearheartcoaching.com,” the domain name currently used by my WP blog.
In a nutshell, I want to change the name of my website to the name of my blog, clearheartcoaching.com.
I wouldn’t mind if they both had the same name and different urls (???) but I’m unclear as to the pros, cons and implications.
I want to keep and use the blog and have it be easily accessible on its own, and accessible from the website.
I’d also like to have the website accessible from the blog.

Finally, this may be another topic but I would like for e-mail coming from either blog or website to go to the same e-mail address; I don’t want two different addresses for the same person.

The most important thing: the name/url changes.
The second most important thing: I am a world-class imbecile when it comes to this kind of thing and I need step-by-step (inch by inch) instructions written for the COMPLETE IDIOT!

Oh thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. Either I’m too late, or your site is ALREADY at clearheartcoaching.com.

Just to make sure you understand: that particular address directs to your home page, but any posts that will publish will have a unique URL made of slashes as you said. This is perfectly normal.

    Hi Airodyssey,
I have not yet redirected my site, leaving me to wonder why you may think so.

Regarding the homepage, are you talking about the homepage of my blog then?

Any thoughts on how to do the switcharoo, with the domain name pointing to the website rather than the blog?

I see a support page for giving your blog a new address. Is this part of the process?
I also see a support page in google apps sites for redirecting the domain name to the website.

I am guessing that first I change the blog address, then I repoint the domain name.

Does it matter which one I do first? Don’t want to lose access to either one by doing something dumb…

As a point of clarification, part of that very long address (///) for my google aps website is the name of wordpress blog.
