Change URL or start new blog?

    Hello WordPress community!

    My old blog is androiddesignrants.wordpress.com
    I’m fine with the content, and the website itself. The only thing I wanted to change was the URL.

    Now, I didn’t know there was a way to officially change the URL, so I went ahead and created a new blog @ sahilchaturvedi.wordpress.com, and imported all of my content & theme.

    At this point, both websites are identical (as far as I can tell).

    Do you think I should go ahead with the new site as it is, or get rid of it and stick to the old one (but get WP support to change the URL officially)?

    My reasoning behind NOT simply changing the URL is that (without buying the site redirect thing) if someone still has the old URL, it won’t redirect to my new site.

    What do you guys think?

    Stick with the old one. The new one has zero search engine ranking.

    What about if someone has a link to the article with the old URL in it?
    For example, I’ve posted many of my articles on Gibbon (gibbon.co).
