Change URL…not as simple as it seems

  I wanted to change the URL of my blog from http://steadyredline.wordpress.com to http://steadyredlinemc.wordpress.com. All of the support/forums site say it is done simply by creating a new blog and exporting from the old and importing to the new. Well I did that and only the content was imported. Not the theme nor the CSS upgrade.

  Am I missing something?

  Themes cannot be exported. As both are wordpress.com blogs you will find them here > Appearance > Themes. However, the CSS upgrade is only for 1 blog for 1 year so if you want that upgrade to apply to a different blog than the one it’s been applied to now, then you need to contact Staff directly and request that. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  Since I only purchased the CSS upgrade a few days ago maybe they’ll allow me to transfer it to the new blog.
