change user name

    Hi I just changed my user name for my site/blog to completely change the OLD user name and display name from the old one to the new one. How long does it take for this to be complete? I can see my blog posts but all featured images are missing and when I changed it I was not advised by wordpress.com if there was a delay. I have subscribers who will not be able to read my blog posts !
