Change user name problem

  Change user name problem
  I changed my display name & blog email address so I wouldn’t lose my previous blog name forever
  Now I have 2 blogs of the same name (one is empty of content) & when I try to change my user name it says that name is already in use. Arrrrrrrrgggggg!
  How can I delete the empty blog & have my user name be the same as my display name knowing I will lose my previous blog name forever?
  Please Help!!!

  What user name do you want? Don’t delete anything.

  The user name in want is CreativeGoddessHealsWithLove
  Email: CreativeGoddessHealsWithLove.wordpress.com

  I don’t want to lose the option of ever using current user name: CreativeGoddessInRepose.

  Maybe I should leave it as is; old user name with new display name. I did change the name of the blank blog to CreativeGoddessInRepose so both blog sites don’t have the same name.

  My initial goal was to rename my blog & change my username & address to match, but I didn’t want to lose the option of ever using the original blog & user name again

  http://creativegoddesshealswithlove.wordpress.com/ already exists. If it does not belong to you, you will have to attempt to contact the user who owns it and come to terms.

  I will flag this for staff to sort out. If you want to keep this username as an option, you will need to create a separate user account for the new username. You can’t go back and forth on the same account.

  Hi there,

  I see that you currently have two blogs with different names:

  • http://creativegoddesshealswithlove.wordpress.com/
  • http://creativegoddessinrepose.wordpress.com/

  It looks like when you changed your blog address to creativegoddesshealswithlove.wordpress.com you created the matching WordPress.com user with the username creativegoddesshealswithlove. You can also log in to that WordPress.com account to manage that blog, if you’d like to use the matching username with that blog.

  Since you don’t want to lose the option of using your username creativegoddessinrepose and the blog creativegoddessinrepose.wordpress.com, you shouldn’t delete that blog. Instead, if you just don’t want to use it right now, you can set it to private: Privacy Settings
