Change username?

  Is it possible to change the username that is connected to my account? I need one that better reflects the name of my site: http://www.carldieker.com. The old username podalidafilm was the name of my previous site.

  PS: Now when I try to change the old username to the new one I get a messate that says it is already in use. By me I presume. But I can’t see how that is possible since the new username is my name ”carldieker”.

  The username carldieker has been registered over here in September 2014, https://wordpress.com/forums/users/carldieker/. If you registered this account, you can restore access at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/.
  Another solution is to change your display name to carldieker, https://wordpress.com/support/change-your-username/#change-display-name-nickname

  If I would first change the username of the account from 2014 (https://wordpress.com/forums/users/carldieker/) would carldieker then be available for my podalidafilm account?
