change username

  I am just getting started…well, trying to. I opened an account in January to start taking a closer look. I have a randomly generated user name @andiayers4706 which I do not want. is there a way to change this short of deleting my account for 30 days?

  Hi @andiayers4706,

  You can change your WordPress username by following the instructions in this video.

  Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name.
