Change username & blog address

  48 hours ago, I changed my username to this one and picked the following options:
  – Change blog name to match the desired username
  – Change example.wordpress.com to match my new username and discard the old address

  My username was changed instantly, but the link to my blog still matches the old username. I am very certain that I chose the above.

  Do I need to wait for more than 48 hours for this to take effect?
