change viewers to contributors

  I just need to be able to change viewers to contributors. Deleting and re-inviting them is NOT an option, because there are too many people and I may need to do this more than once. The standard instructions for ‘changing roles’ don’t seem to apply to viewers, and if people can’t currently be changed from viewers at all then it certainly isn’t made clear to users BEFORE sending invites out.
