Change Vigilance Blog Title Font

  Hello All! I have one simple request. All I want to do is change my blog title to either the Bradley Hand ITC font or Garamond. That’s the only thing I need the Custom CSS for. Is it possible for someone to provide the code to do that so I can at least preview it via the Edit CSS? I have no problem learning CSS, but that’s all I want to do, and to spend all that time learning CSS for this one little thing doesn’t make sense. I’m truly not trying to be lazy, just efficient. Also, can we use any font in Microsoft Word? Thanks!

  Have you thought of using Typekit to change the font for free? That’s what I do for my blog which also uses the Vigilance theme. The choice of fonts is limited but you can probably find something similar to what you want. It would keep you from having to purchase the upgrade just to do one little change.

  I’ve only just heard of Typekit this afternoon. Is it easy to use? I thought it was a free trial but you had to pay for a subscription?

  Looks like the base Typkit is free with some things requiring a subscription – take a look at what is for free and see if they have a font that you like in the free features.

  Airodyssey, how did you get your blog title into the upper left corner like that? It loks like I don’t have a choice where mine goes. Thanks.

  @jasonvarrone: As airodyssey said, it’s not worth buying the upgrade just to change the font of the blog title. Moreover, such CSS changes should be limited to the standard browser-safe fonts – see here:
  http://www.ampsoft.net/webdesign-l/WindowsMacFonts.html

  So, as airodyssey also showed, what you should do is use an image editing application to create a new version of your header image incorporating the title in it as a graphic, upload that version, and select Display Text > No to hide the actual blog title.
