change web address

  I accidentally typed the wrong web address in as http://truereflectionphotography.wordpress.com it is spelled incorrectly and I was wondering if I could change it.

  Also I wanted to verify before I purchase that to use my web domain purchased through go daddy I need to pay 13.00 for the domain to be mapped through wordpress and use the site I have created?

  It does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com URL is when you domain map.

  You cannot edit a URL. You can change a blog address but that’s not necessary in this case. http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually.

  In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

  Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.
