I need to take the wordpress.com off my website. I need it to only say Memorableeventdesign.com
Firstly, if you want to have a website on custom domain like Memorableeventdesign.com, there is no need to taken down WordPress.com. You can have a WordPress.com site on custom domain as well. Here is the support document explaining everything about domains: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/.
If you want to buy a new domain, Memorableeventdesign.com, you can do that by visiting your Domains page. If your desired domain is available, WordPress.com will show it in the search in a green box and you can add it from there.
However, I saw that the domain, Memorableeventdesign.com, is already taken. If you already own a domain and have purchased it from another registrar then there are two things you can do.
1) Domain Transfer: You can transfer domain hosting to WordPress.com. Here is the support document for your help: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
2) Domain Mapping: You can map your domain to WordPress.com. Please remember that after purchasing domain mapping, you have to contact your registrar (domain provider) and ask them to change the Name Servers to point the domain to your WordPress.com site.
