  • Hi there – You can set your site to private until you’re ready to launch it:
    Privacy Settings

Plugins aren’t permitted at WordPress.com for security reasons, but many of the things you’d use a plugin for are built into WordPress.com so a lot of them aren’t necessary here.

To decide whether you’ll need to host your site here at WordPress.com or whether you need a self-hosted (.org) install, I recommend reading this article:
    http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/11/14/com-or-org/

Then, if you need to a self-hosted site, you’ll first need to obtain web hosting. We have some recommendations here:
    http://get.wp.com/hosting/

You can move your domain to your new site in this way:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/

Let me know if you have further questions about any of this. :)

    Hi eurello,
    Thank you for your reply.
I have read the privacy part & set that as you suggested, thanks.
I will look at the other links later.
    Thanks for your assistance.
