Change WP Blog to New Name/URL

  Decided my blog needs better name and URL. Added a second blog (B2) to my profile, planning on a new username, profile…everything. Imported all my stuff from B1 to B2. Now when I post, my username is from B1 and all the imported posts are posted by B1 username.

  I tried to log out and start completely over with my B2 username, but told it already exists in the WP network. So, my B2 blog is the one I want, but with a new username and profile.

  Have searched through the forums and haven’t found what I need.

  When you import blog contents from one wordpress.com blog into another you are given the option of re-assigning authors. Did you use the importer?

  Which theme are you using? Does it allow for author names to be displayed?

  Sorry I meant to say in my first post: “Didn’t you do that when you used the importer?”
  Also how many post are we talking about?

  Total was 23 posts, I think. I was using mistylook for blog 1, and set up blog 2 with andreas 09. I don’t recall an option to add a user when I imported. I did use the import function in WP. Since then, I’ve tried to invite my new username through the 2nd blog both within the network (can’t find it) and by the new username’s email address (different from my first username email).

  I may just give up on this because my current blog is probably ok. Just think the new username works better with the direction my blog is going. Didn’t think it would be such an ordeal, though.
