    Hi

I wanted to password protect my website so I’ve installed Password Protected plugin but it somehow disabled image resizing so I needed to deactivate it but my website domain is still wpcomstaging and image resizing doesn’t work.

I want to know how to:

    1. change the domain back to wordpress (without downgrading to Free plan as I do not want to redo the whole layout)
    2. fix the issue of images not resizing. (in editor the images get resized. when i go to the actual website the sizes are all over the place and with abysmal compression)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Let’s take these one at a time:

    1. Plugin-enabled websites will use the .wpcomstaging temporary site address, and the .wordpress.com one is no longer available unless we revert the website. Alternatively, I recommend registering a custom domain as shown here.
    2. I’m not familiar with the plugin you’ve used, however, I believe it shouldn’t affect the image resizing. You can check if turning that off helps with it, but if it doens’t, it might be something else entirely.

Please contact us via live chat so we can better guide you with your website. 🙂
