How do I change xml to pdf files so that I can make ebooks?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Where did the XML files come from? Are you talking about an export from your blog here?

If you’re talking about wordpress export files, may be you can use this website : http://www.blogbooker.com/blogger.php

I found it because I’d like to generate pdf files from xml wordpress export files, but I can’t use the above link: my wordpress blog is on an intranet and I can’t send data outside…

So if anybody else has a solution… Thanks!

The article you referenced is not for WordPress. I have the export file from my WordPress blog. It exports xml files and I have not found a third party software that will allow me to change it to PDF as these files do not open so that one can use the usual print command to change it to a PDF. Any other suggestions?

In the documentation of the article I referenced, it’s written: “The current blog sites supported are those based on WordPress, LiveJournal and Blogger.”
I think I’ve understood what you’re trying to do, because I’d like to do the same ;-) (but I can’t use the website I’ve found, because I can’t send data outside my organization)

There are third-party, for-profit sites that will do it. Google should be able to help.

WP said that we can change individual posts to PDF using the print function found in Share. This does not allow batches of posts to be changed though. I have Goggled and found some sites that say they will convert xml files but programs like CutePDF require the file be opened and saved to PDF in the print functions. I have not found out how to open these XML files to convert them.

For individual posts, I use the plugin Post2PDF Converter. But it doesn’t work for batches…

I’ll try cocoon in the next weeks, I’ll post here if this tool can do the work.

The blogbooker.com did indeed create a pdf file in book format, even with a table of contents. The software is free but has a “professional version” for $50. The limits are not having much editing capability for pages but one can add text and delete pages (like comments section of your blog). It will serve my purpose for now but do hope to find better editing capabilities. Thanks for referring me to Blogbooker. hugs, pat
