Changed a Mapped Domain Name

    I’m currently mapping a domain name to my blog and I’m thinking of changing it so that instead of the main domain name it uses a sub-domain of the original domain. I intend to use the main domain on a self-hosted wordpress install so I can add functionality I can’t do here.

    I have two questions:

    1. Is there anything stopping me from doing this?
    2. Is there anything I need to be aware of?

    I use subdomains on other self hosted sites so I’m quite happy to sort it out and I’m also aware that the url for posts and pages will change but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions / pointers / hints and tips / things to be aware of before starting.
