Hi there! You do indeed need to adjust your CSS in order to change the color that appears above your header image.
- Click Appearance → Customize. Then click the CSS button in your right-hand menu.
- In the CSS Revisions box, please paste the following below all existing text:
.site-header {
background: #6a9c6b;
}.site-branding {
border-right: 0px solid #cccccc;
} - Save your changes.
That should do it!
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much and happy blogging!

thank you this worked. there is a small white line before the menu , is there a way to get rid of this so it can be one color uninteruppted by this white line?
-
Certainly! It begins with the same steps:
- Click Appearance → Customize. Then click the CSS button in your right-hand menu.
- In the CSS Revisions box, please paste the following below all existing text:
.main-navigation {
border-left: 0px solid; - Save your changes.
I hope this does the trick for you! Thanks so much.

Terrific! I am so glad it worked well for you.
You’ll find documentation about how to adjust your site’s design in a couple different places. These two support pages should help out:
