Changed Blog Address and Now it's all gone.

I followed the instructions for changing my blog address ie the first part and now no links can be followed and my dashboard says it’s new and empty.
Now what?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Changing a URL is a permanent and irreversible act.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/7. The final option presented on this screen allows you to discard your current address. This option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again. If you want to redirect traffic to the new blog, you can keep the address and purchase the Site Redirect upgrade.
No changed or deleted blog URLs are recycled here, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

It tells me I can change the blog address and warns me that I can’t reverse the act – it did not tell me that I had to purchase a Site Redirect Upgrade.
It said if I didn’t want to lose the old site to not click the box – I didn’t click the box.I guess what you are saying, is that no, you can’t change your blog address without losing the lot or upgrading?
Which is actually a much shorter way of putting it than the long-winded misinformative blurb posted in your bit. -

Now, when I click on the link I posted in the first post it actually takes me to the blog and the posts….Do I exist or not?

I copied and pasted the number 7. step for you above.

When I click this link now http://vitaminb12deficiencyworldwide.wordpress.com/ and when I first clicked it I saw the exact same site and content.

Yes, to your first question the original was currentcontent – and I know, I’m picking up stuff now???? I couldn’t get in at all for about an hour, it was telling me the page didn’t exist.
I’m wondering if there is some kind of delay when it changes?All I did was follow the instructions – I couldn’t see anything that I’d missed (although it did seem too easy)
Right, just checked my Facebook and Twitter links and it’s disappeared as Page Not Found from there even though it says in wordpress that my blog is linked.
I might try undoing the links and starting again… -
We live in a world where everything is expected to be instant and immediate but that’s not always possible. In situations like this one it took time for the software to accomplish the change. It seems that everything is fine now. Happy blogging!

I can’t undo the links.
Seems simpler here to save the posts, cancel my account and start again.
Is it possible to cancel the account without entering into the depths of Hell trying to sort out another mess? -

I might try undoing the links and starting again…Are you referring to the sharing links below posts? If so then remove the ones you had that were sharing the original URL and replace them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

I meant where you click on share in the Sharing Settings page. I unchecked Facebook and then rechecked it, but it’s still saying page not found on the links.

It looks like your posts are up on the new site. Please note that it will not change the shares you did in the past. You will have reshare the posts from the new site onto your Facebook/Twitter page. The site change cannot change your share retroactively unfortunately.

I know I’ve got a couple of new ones up -but how do I re-share the old ones?
I thought maybe I would have to copy and paste into new posts and then delete the old posts?

It must have only been 28/29th because Knock-out was the first post I made (I think!)
I don’t like technology – it’s just a tool – it winds me up when I have to figure it out.
