Changed Blog Address Effects the Search Engine?

  Dear WordPress team,

  I would like to ask you an important question. I am going to change the blog address due to re-branding reason.

  But I have a doubt. Will the changed blog address affects the search engine result?

  If I search something on Google, will the result also changed to the new WordPress address automatically? Or, do I need to do something to update the search engine result?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes. Your new URL has zero pagerank. Your search engine referrals will drop to zero and start over from scratch.

  Make a new address – transfer the content to the new blog / address then buy the site redirect to send traffic from the old site to the new site – that will help a bit

  don’t delete the old site
