Changed domain name – now redirects and won't let me log in

  Hi,

  I’m working on building a site for a friend and in trying to delete the wordpress blog (no delete site buttons appeared in admin), I thought I would change the domain name to another one I own until I could figure out how to delete the site. Once I hit apply a window came up and said something about redirecting but it logged me out before I could mentally process it. Now, when the admin page comes up and I put in the info, the old url transfers to the new url and then times out. When I go to the WordPress.com page to log in, it doesn’t recognize the log in. Help!
