Changed edit posts feature
-
WordPress recently changed the edit posts layout. How do I do a quick edit to adjust the categories of a post. Quick Edit seems to be unavailable. My newest post since the change are uncategorized. Why did they break something that wasn’t broken. This is supposed to be an improvement?

Hi there, WordPress.com recently rolled out a unified navigation. You can read about this here: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2021/03/30/wordpress-com-design-update-for-a-more-intuitive-experience/
In order to recover the Quick Edit function, you’ll want to head to your Account settings at https://wordpress.com/me/account and turn on
Show advanced dashboard pagesin Interface Settings> Dashboard Appearance. Make sure to click the “Save Interface Settings” button towards the bottom, below the thumbnails of the various dashboard color options. More info also at https://wordpress.com/support/account-settings/#dashboard-appearanceChanging that setting will bring back the older WP Admin Posts dashboard for you, but you might need to hard refresh your browser to see it after changing that Account setting.
Hope that answers your question.

Hi there,
You can access the link manager by adding
/wp-admin/link-manager.phpto the end of your site address. As explained by helper-heroponriki at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/support-article-add-email/#post-3662067
We’re making some changes to the navigation menus and the Links menu is not showing in the left hand options at the moment. I’ve passed along the feedback regarding navigation to our development team, but for now, if you’ll append /wp-admin/link-manager.php to the end of your site address, you can access the link manager there.
