changed email address- now I don’t have an avatar

  Hello All!
  I have looked through some posts here but cannot find a solution. I have changed my primary email address and now my avatar doesn’t show up. I tried uploading a new one and it too doesn’t show up. Do I need to go to Gravatar.com to get a new one? Or is it something simple that I missed?

  Are you hosted here at wordpress.COM? If so, please provide your blog address as the site in your user name is not hosted here (and is of no use to volunteers in the forum trying to help you).

  my blog address is directorysexy.wordpress.com and yes it is hosted here. I had another blog for a while but deleted it. Thanx again.

  I am having the exact same problem. I re-uploaded the blog pic after it disappeared, and I can see it when I go into “Settings”, but it doesn’t show up anywhere else, like when I post comments.

  What picture should we be seeing? We can’t tell you if it’s worked if you don’t tell us what USED to be the avatar, and what you are trying to change it to.

  OK, that’s odd, I see it in the post I just left here, but not on my own blog for any of the comments, nor when I log in, where it says “welcome, mllenoelle”.

  I wasn’t trying to change anything, just re-upload the pic that was lost when I switched email addresses. It is the pic you see of me in a green shirt.

  Avatars ALWAYS take time to replicate across various channels of WP.com. They generally show up first in the forums, and on the blogs themselves later. That’s standard behavior for WP avatars.

  It seems that when I log in using my user name that WP wants to open my old blog which has been deleted. Could this be my problem? I use the same user name for the old and new blog. I have tried repeatedly to upload the same and different avatars over the past few weeks but to no avail.

  The site linked to your username isn’t a WP.com blog. That could be the problem, if you’re trying to get the avatar to show in the platform to which it was not uploaded.
