Changed from org to com and no plugins still…

  Hi there, I have just changed from http://www.thedianamurphy.wordpress.com website to http://www.thedianamurphy.com so I can take advantage of the extra features. My dashboard is still the same though and wondered if there was something I had to do my end to update it so I can start using plugins etc.

  On WordPress.COM we have no plugins.

  Not even with the custom domain name upgrade.

  If you bought that upgrade hoping you could have plugins, you have made a mistake. You can only have plugins on a WordPress.ORG blog. YOu need to buy a domain name, get hosting (paid) and move your blog off WordPress.COM into webspace you’ve rented in which you’ve installed software from WordPress.ORG.

  So if that’s what you want to do, keep the domain name but get hosting and then move the domain name and blog contents onto that.
