Changed general settings…lost website design. HELP!

  In attempting to make a site live, I followed directions (obviously wrong) that said to go into admin, then settings, then general and change the site from http://www.”name”.com/wordpress to http://www.”name”.com. Now the site doesn’t show anywhere. How do I get back into it? I can’t wp-login/php because the site doesn’t exist according to wordpress. Please help me. I spent months designing the website and I can’t find it.
