Changed Image Still showing when i share a blog page

Hi, I’m trying to share a new blog post but whenever i put the link on facebook the photo that comes up with it is an old one that I cant find anywhere on my blog or in my settings, and yet it’s showing up as the featured image when I share the post n an external site – please help! I cant find the photo to delete it, and i kee refreshing and republishing my page and its not updating. I cant share the post with the old photo attached.

Homepage
- The featured image of the front page is used when sharing your blog’s main page on Facebook. If front page has no featured image, your site icon is used.
Posts and Pages
- The image Facebook selects for other posts and pages depends on where and how you have uploaded images to your blog, as follows:
Featured image: if a featured image has been uploaded for a post/page, we will recommend to Facebook that this image be used as a first priority.
Uploaded images: If you haven’t assigned a Featured Image, we recommend images to Facebook that you have inserted into your post. They are recommended from top to bottom in your post.
No Images: If no images are used in your post, we will recommend a transparent image. Facebook will also look at the content posted elsewhere on the page for images that will work, such as widgets, the header, and others.
That being said, I think that once you have published to Facebook, it might NOT refresh your post when you edit it ( but I haven’t found that yet in the documentation).
Following the guidelines above should help you control the image used when you make a new post. Designating your featured image for each post should give you the most control.

Hi,
So I’ve got no featured image on my home page/front page/post page. I haven’t uploaded any images into the post and when looking at pictures I have uploaded previously in media, the picture it keeps suggesting for Facebook is not there either. The picture being assigned for FB I uploaded a year ago and I cannot find it embedded anywhere within my blog so I can’t even just delete it.
I’ve looked through my widgets header etc and I cannot find this image anywhere hence why I do not understand how it’s being out with my post on Facebook. I even tried changing my other photos such as my profile, my tagline photo, but ntohings changing. Where else could this image be?!
I even said do not use featured image and the image stays the same – what else can I try?

Did you look at the support page @houstonweaver provided above?
It explains that Facebook caches information about your site when you share a link – you must have at one point uploaded a link that allowed Facebook to fetch that image, and that image is now stuck in their cache.
To fix this, you need to force Facebook to flush their cache for your site by using their debugging tool to which we link in that support document:
http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
Open that page, paste in the link for your latest post, and click Debug. That will open a screen showing the current preview for your post. Click the Scrape Again button, and it will force Facebook to go look for a new preview.
I just did that, and now it shows the preview with no image, as there’s no image present in your latest post.
